Here’s what you’ll be doing We are looking for a passionate and dedicated and experienced Australian educator to join our team in the role of Learning and Engagement Lead. In this role, you will spearhead the design and creation of high quality, meaningful content and professional development events for educators across Australia & New Zealand. You’ll play a pivotal role in determining how we engage the community of educators and school leaders in Australia. Key Responsibilities:
- Event and Content Strategy:
- Create a comprehensive events and content strategy that addresses the needs, interests, and challenges of Australian and New Zealand educators.
- Design and implement professional development opportunities that are inspiring, actionable, and tailored to the specific needs of ANZ educators.
- Event Concept Development and Execution:
- Develop themes and source speakers for quarterly virtual events (2 events per quarter), ensuring relevance and appeal.
- Plan and execute meetups (3-4 per year) and roadshows (3-4 per year) across the ANZ region, curating topics and speakers to foster community engagement.
- Produce a monthly podcast episode featuring key insights, interviews, and discussions relevant to ANZ educators.
- Distribution and Project Management:
- Review and refine distribution copies for emails, ads, social media, and posts on groups and forums to maximise reach and engagement.
- Oversee the overall project management of ANZ Learn, including website updates and content alignment with strategic goals.
- Collaborative Efforts:
- Partner closely with the sales, design, marketing, and product teams to ensure the ANZ content roadmap aligns with Toddle’s big-picture goals and vision.
- Work in coordination with the core event and Learn teams to ensure all initiatives reflect the interests and needs of the ANZ education sector.
- Build and maintain a network of relationships with thought leaders, educators, and presenters throughout Australia and New Zealand to support event quality and relevance.
- Research and Development:
- Conduct surveys, focus groups, and interviews to identify the evolving interests of ANZ educators, ensuring that all content and events are grounded in real needs.
- Stay updated on developments in Australian and New Zealand curricula to ensure all resources and content are aligned with educational standards.
- Quality Assurance:
- Collaborate with freelance contributors and curriculum consultants to review and provide feedback on resources, ensuring high quality and relevance.
- Commit to continuous self-development in all relevant areas to enhance the quality and impact of Toddle’s ANZ offerings.
Is this someone that looks like you?
- 5+ years of experience as an educator (leadership experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of the Australian educational landscape including awareness of relevant curriculum and pedagogy frameworks (such as the Australian Curriculum, state Yr 11 and 12 certificate programs, UDL, inquiry-based and project-based learning, student wellbeing, etc)
- Skilled in cultivating vast networks and communities
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to give direct, empathetic feedback
- Location: Remote / Work from home
