Here’s what you’ll be doing
In this role, you’ll work closely with our Central Translation team on various projects requiring Japanese Translations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurate Translation: Translate content from English to Japanese and vice versa, ensuring accuracy and fluency.
- Localization: Adapt content to cultural nuances and regional preferences for effective communication with Japanese audiences.
- Proofreading and Editing: Review translated content for grammar, style, and consistency.
- Project Management: Manage translation projects efficiently, meeting deadlines and maintaining high quality standards.
Is this someone that looks like you?
- Relevant Experience: We prefer candidates with:
- 1-2 years of experience in Japanese translations.
- Japanese Language proficiency level J1/J2 with understanding of Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji scripts.
- Experience in a SaaS organization or fast paced startup (a plus).
- Experience in an IB-School (instructor, coordinator, or administration) (a plus).
- Time Commitment: 30-40 hours per week for the next 3 months (potential extension based on performance).
- Strong Communication Skills: Business writing and critiquing copy are essential.
- Tech Savvy: Familiarity with translation technology tools is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: High-quality work is essential, as your translations will be seen by many.
