At Toddle, we are on a mission to help schools around the world deliver better learning. We are a team of 2x founders – before founding Toddle, we set up a network of preschools and schools in India. We continue to operate these preschools and schools as it gives us a unique vantage point into the challenges faced by schools.

That’s because children spend more than 80% of their learning time in school and schools are here to stay as schools are not just about teaching & learning, they also play a pivotal social role in our lives. So while most Edtech companies are trying to solve for education by working outside the school system, we think that the focus needs to be on taking our schools to the next level.

Our first product is a collaboration platform for teaching teams – we say that Toddle is to teaching, what Figma is to design. In its current version, Toddle empowers teachers to work together and better across all stages of the teaching-learning process – right from curriculum planning and assessments to progress-tracking and family communication.

Here’s what you’ll be doing

We are looking for a talented and highly motivated Fullstack Engineer to join our team in the 2nd shift hours ( 5:30PM – 2:30AM IST shift ). As a Fullstack Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our software applications, ensuring their smooth functioning and optimal performance. Additionally, you will work closely with our customer support team, collaborating to provide timely solutions to School’s issues and enhance their overall experience.

Required Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Javascript and Nodejs, with a deep understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
  • Extensive experience with SQL databases, including designing database schemas and optimising queries for performance.
  • Proficiency in Reactjs for frontend development and integration with the backend.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work in the 2nd shift to coordinate effectively with the customer support team.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and result-oriented with a passion for learning and improving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the customer support team to understand their requirements and provide technical assistance and solutions to address customer / School’s issues.
  • Participate in regular meetings with the customer support team to gather feedback and insights for continuous improvement.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems reported by schools, delivering efficient and effective solutions.
  • Work on feature enhancements and bug fixes based on schools feedback and internal requirements.
  • Develop and maintain frontend and backend components of our software applications, ensuring they meet high-quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to implement new features and improvements.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Write clear and concise technical documentation to support internal teams and schools.

Is this someone that looks like you?

  • Education: B.E/B.Tech degree
  • Experience: 1 to 3 years of relevant working experience (SaaS preferred)
  • Soft Skills: Having a bias towards action, a good sense of design, empathy, and good
    communication skills
